Schon zu Gro\u00dfmutters Zeiten waren Brat\u00e4pfel in der Weihnachtszeit sehr beliebt und etwas ganz Besonderes. Ihr himmlischer Duft \u2013 eine Mischung aus \u00c4pfeln, Zucker, N\u00fcssen und Gew\u00fcrzen \u2013 zog durchs ganze Haus und wenn die \u00c4pfel gar waren, sa\u00df man beisammen und genoss die k\u00f6stlich warmen, mit allerlei Leckereien gef\u00fcllten \u00c4pfel. Mit das Beste an Brat\u00e4pfeln ist ihre ganz einfache und schnelle Zubereitung. F\u00fcr die Zubereitung eignen sich leicht s\u00e4urebetonte alte Apfelsorten. Das Kerngeh\u00e4use wird ausgestochen und ein Deckel abgeschnitten. Danach wird der Apfel nach Lust und Laune gef\u00fcllt: Mit N\u00fcssen, Rosinen, Schokolade, Nougatcr\u00e8me, Marzipan, getrockneten Fr\u00fcchten oder zerbr\u00f6selten Schoko-Cookies. Am Topfboden hat sich nun ein aromatischer Sud aus Fruchtsaft, Zucker und Butter gebildet.
